The release said the cats will receive a rabies vaccination and ear tip, which indicates that the cat has been altered. Cats must be dropped off at the Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter at 8 a.m. Thursday and must be picked up between 9 and 10 a.m. Friday.

The cats must also be secured in “a humane trap that they can stand comfortably in and only one cat per trap,” according to the release. A limited number of traps are available to be rented from SRCAS.
