The Duchess of Sussex’s estranged half-sister is calling claims she is on a “fixated persons list” as “ridiculous” and “fake news.”

Samantha Markle launched a tirade on Twitter following reports that Meghan’s protection officers have briefed London police over the potential damage Samantha could cause to the royal family’s reputation.

In a series of Tweets posted in response to a story in The Australian, Samantha said the story is “fake news” and threatens the publication to “stop your lying nonsense or be sued.” She continued, “This is ridiculous as I’m in an electric wheelchair and i live ona different continent LOL and afdvocating for doing the right this by our dad is hardly fixations.”

According to the Sunday Times, which first reported that Samantha was on a “fixated persons list,” a Scotland Yard source said: “Someone like Samantha presents a risk rather than a threat. She is not committing criminal offenses, but she is causing concerns for the royal family.”

Over the past few months, Samantha has made repeated swipes at Meghan in the press and on social media. Additionally, she reportedly made an unannounced visit to Kensington Palace and sent Meghan a Christmas card calling for a family truce.

Scotland Yard’s Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (FTAC) is a police unit that works with the National Health Service to identify risks posed by “lone individuals” who stalk or harass public figures.
