British model and actress Suki Waterhouse has a new job to add to her ever-expanding resume as it was announced on Monday that she is the newest brand muse of Redken. Joining the ranks of transgender model Lea T and fellow catwalker Soo Joo Park, Waterhouse (who is also known as Bradley Cooper’s ex) will make her first appearance for the hair care brand this August tied to its new Diamond Oil Glow Dry product.

Perhaps her new gig will help her to work through some her hair issues. At the Redken photo shoot, the mega model recently told People, “I cut my own hair a lot … and I’m always terrible at it! Literally, thank God for my hair and makeup teams! Whenever I look half decent in a picture it’s always thanks to them.”

And earlier this year, Waterhouse admitted to having an emotional relationship to her blond locks, telling Vogue that, “Over the last five years, I’ve gone in and out of having [bangs]. It usually happens that I don’t have them, and then I break up with someone and get them again, and then I grow them out over the course of a relationship—and then I cut them again.”

Perhaps her most shocking admission has been what she uses as her secret shampoo. Waterhouse likes to rinse her mane with Coca-Cola to give it that extra oomph. "I don’t like my hair when it’s washed — it’s fine and limp — but Coca-Cola makes it tousled, like I’ve gone through the Amazon or something,“ she said to US Weekly in March.

With a few new films on the horizon and a slew of modeling gigs sure to arise, we’re glad that Redken can come in and give the blond beauty the haircare help she needs.
