Rumer Willis Embraces Her ‘Mama Curves’ in Stunning New Photos: ‘It’s Been a Journey’

One year after welcoming her daughter Louetta “Lou” Isley, Rumer Willis is fully embracing her “mama curves.” She recently shared several gorgeous photos of herself at the beach, getting vulnerable in the caption about her “journey” to accept her postpartum body.

“Leaning in to my mama curves in the jungle 🦜,” the My Divorce Party actress wrote on Instagram on Monday. She’s dressed in a brown bandeau swimsuit top with a brown-and-tan patterned wrap tied across her hips, accessorized with gold bracelets and two necklaces, one which says “Louetta” and one that spells out “Mama.” The model stands in front of jungle leaves, with the ocean in the background. One hand is on her stomach, and she looks radiant. Her unedited body is beautiful, and we love how she is showing it love.

In the caption, Willis opened up about how — and why — she’s come to honor her changing body. “It’s been a journey of continuous curiosity and growth to see how much room and acceptance I can give my body as it continues to shift and transform after birthing a little human,” she wrote. “I hope to continue feeling in my loving of myself in all the many shapes and sizes it will come in so I can show my daughter what unconditional self love and acceptance looks like. ✨” (It’s OK if you’re crying; we are too!)

Wanting to embrace your body for yourself and show your child how to do this too is so beautiful. And we weren’t the only ones loving Willis’s latest post.

“Gorgeous mama,” someone else commented. “Embracing our ever changing bodies is so important and I always tell myself when I hear the ‘bad’ talk to myself, i remind myself what my body has done ❤️ and two beautiful humans are now on this planet. What a wonderful porthole our bodies are. Be kind to ourselves ❤️”

In August, the Sorority Row star shared a breastfeeding selfie feeding her daughter, and talked about how much she has learned and grown in the past year. “This past year has come with so much growth, so many challenges and fears to overcome but right along side more joy than I could ever imagine,” she said in part.

She added, “This new version of me is someone I love more than I ever thought I could. I feel more comfortable in my skin. More confident than I ever imagined. I have known for so many years that being a mother would bring me into alignment with a divine purpose I have always felt and to known that my intuition was right has given me a trust within myself that I am so deeply grateful for.”

“I have never felt more beautiful in my whole life,” she shared.
