Rihanna is coming under fire for a new magazine photoshoot that is rubbing tons of fans the wrong way, to say the least.

The singer and Fenty Beauty founder recently posed for the cover of Interview Magazine in a controversial religious-themed look—and the internet has some thoughts.

The publication dropped the cover of their new spring issue to their socials on Tuesday, April 9, sharing the striking shot of Rihanna dressed in a provocative version of a nun's habit. Wearing the recognizable black and white headpiece, Rihanna put a sensual spin on the traditional wardrobe with a plunging white blouse ripped open to reveal her oiled-up, braless chest.

The publication also shared a video from the shoot, showing the "Diamonds" singer making various faces at the camera while sporting dramatic blue eyeshadow and a bold red lip.

And while Rihanna is usually praised for her envelope-pushing looks, many fans had reservations about this one, especially considering the religious undertones.

"I love you riri but this is not okay," one fan wrote in the comments on Instagram, while another seemingly agreed, writing, "This ain't it."

"Why did she do that," someone else wondered, as others labeled the photoshoot "disrespectful" and "in poor taste. "

"i love me some Rihanna but this is a no for me. So sorry 🙏🏻,," someone else added.

There were, of course, some Rihanna fans who were supportive of the look, including one person who called her "THE BADDEST!!!!!!" in the Instagram comments.

"Rihanna always knows how to get the people going 😂," someone else declared.
