Rider Shows What Is Possible On E-MTB

In some corners of the internet, electric mountain bikes have a reputation for being less capable for freeride applications.

One rider decided to disprove that notion. Watch Alexandre Valls hit an enormous jump on his e-bike below.

In this video, Valls sent it to the moon on an enormous jump and easily spun back up.

The development of electric mountain bikes into trail-capable machines has created a new sport, one where riders can get far more laps with the help of a motor while still enjoying comparable downhill performance.

Still, electric bikes are not the first choice of many freeriders. Many of them are not worried about pedaling and prefer to push a normal bike.

E-bike freeride exists mostly in the specific space of sponsored athletes proving to the consumer that an electric mountain bike will not hold them back on descents or jumps. Watch David MacMillan show off e-bike style in the hills of New Zealand below.
