Given that it’s spring, Halloween probably isn’t on your mind yet. But surprisingly, now would actually be a good time to start thinking about your decoration situation — especially if you’ve been eyeing a particularly famous one from Home Depot...

Home Accents Holiday’s 12-Foot Skelly first went viral when it debuted in 2020, and again during its re-release in 2021. Now, in 2024, it’s still a ~big~ deal — and it’s gotten a makeover!

It doesn’t look super different from the OG version. The over-the-top decoration still features off-white bones and an accompanying base piece that allows it to stand up on its own as a spine-tingling centerpiece in your yard. It’s also still suitable for display both outside of your home or in it, so if you happen to have high ceilings, it’ll instantly turn your home into a haunted house.

We all know, though, what really takes this skeleton to the next level — aside from the fact that it’s 12 feet tall, of course — are the animated eyes. This are where the newness comes in because you can now change up the look of the eyes with an included remote, so you can set it to what you like best (or are most scared of?). That said, the creepy LCD eyes still move and light up to delightfully freak out passersby and guests.

You can order the humongous skeleton from Home Depot right now for just under $300 (the same price point as the original). It’s a piece worth breaking out every Halloween, so that helps justify the splurge. (Not to mention, some folks even keep up the OG year round and decorate it to match the current season.)

When you break it out for Halloween, though, you’ll want to grab your most DIY-savvy friend or family member, because it takes at least two people to put this giant skeleton together. Now all you’ll need is a fog machine and maybe a spotlight to really make your front yard ready for Halloween when the time comes.
