Rescued Bullied Goose Meets a Brand New Friend and They're Just the Cutest

If you're looking for a heartwarming cheer up, look no further! This sweet story that Purely Chickens shared on Tuesday, August 22nd about Benny the bullied goose will definitely brighten your day. Benny was rescued and rehabilitated, and he's now thriving.

Benny was slowly introduced to the other animals that lived at the farm but remained  a loner. That is until recently. Benny's mom thought it was time to get him a friend, so she introduced him to Jessie, and the rest is history!

I actually wrote about @Purely Chickens rescue of Benny before. Benny was with another flock and was being bullied. It was a sad start to life, but he's a happy goose now! And how cute were Benny and Jessie when they were splashing around in the pool? The pair definitely needs a bigger one!

Many commenters asked about Benny's wing. It's called an 'angel wing', and it's common in waterfowl. Unfortunately, it prevents Benny from flying, but it doesn't seem to hinder him at all!

Do geese make good pets? Like with most pets, there are pros and cons to owning them. Geese are very territorial, so they can act as guardians of your house! They can live 10-20 years, which is important to know because that's a long time to commit to a pet. On the other hand, they are messy, loud, and can be pretty aggressive, so if you have young children, it's something to take into consideration.
