Rescued Bulldog Experiencing His First Christmas Inside Is Full of Magic

It's the most wonderful time of the year for folks who enjoy the holidays, but for pets who are experiencing their first Christmastime at home, it's the most wonderful time of their lives. Little things like holiday lights and homemade cookies are easy to take for granted when you see them every year, but watching someone experiencing them for the first time makes you realize just how special they are.

Just ask rescue dog Luka and his owner Riley! They are celebrating the Bulldog's very first Christmas since he was rescued in June, and it's just as sweet as you'd think. The thoughtful dog mom caught her boy deep in thought as he pondered some of the indoor decorations, and I can't help but wonder just what he's thinking.

Aww! This sweet rescued dog was sitting under the tree like the absolute gift that he is. But what exactly was he looking at? Was he contemplating what was wrapped up in the gifts? Or were the tree's lights just captivating to the pup?Whatever it may be, he must've been looking at that Christmas tree for a really, really long time if he got comfy enough to sit down. Luckily, his forever person @rileymhale was smart enough to capture the moment while she could.

One commenter, @jennren03, couldn't get enough of "little buddy contemplating life over there." He's just irresistible! From his sweet, slouched posture to his precious wrinkled face, this little English Bulldog could melt the ice from any heart. Certainly he's on Santa's nice list this year!

Getting Your Dog in the Holiday Spirit Doesn't Have to be Difficult

Christmas is the perfect time to get creative with your dog and the ways you include them in your holiday plans. It's the perfect time of year for a ride in the car to look at the lights, and you can always buy a Pup Cup for your furry friend while you're buying your favorite holiday drink. Christmas trip to Grandma's? You bet your dog is in!

As Luka proves, something as simple as a Christmas tree can be special enough to enchant a rescue dog, but not every pup is as big of a fan of decorations. In fact, many dogs don't seem to notice them at all! These dogs may appreciate some holiday-themed dog biscuits or some snuggle time while you watch your favorite Christmas movie. There's no wrong way to bond with your buddy--especially when it's time to get holly jolly.

Happy Holidays!
