The Shane McConkey Foundation just posted the update we've all been waiting for on Facebook, writing that the "REGISTRATION FOR PMS (Pain McShlonkey) IS NOW OPEN!"

"Want to race in the PMS 2024? 60 spots are reserved for the first crowdfunders to raise $100."

You can register here: https://shanemcconkey.org/campaign/pain-mcshlonkey-classic-2024/

To fundraise, you must first complete the registration, but the first 60 participants to raise 100$ earn entry into the Pain McShlonkey, held on March 23 at Palisades Tahoe, CA.

This year, the race will be livestreamed, so you'll be a superstar even if you aren't the best skier on the mountain.

So far, a little over $3,375 has been raised, which is 56% of this year's total goal.

The fundraiser to raise the most money overall will win a special prize and mount the podium on the Sun Deck in front of the entire live and livestreamed audience.

All proceeds benefit the Shane McConkey EcoChallenge and the RAD Grant recipient.

The website describes the Pain McShlonkey as an "epic day of camaraderie and general radness, is our annual celebration of Shane. We gather together to shred in his honor. Dressing in our most outrageous ski duds, and with snowblades waxed, we raise money for amazing causes."

Check out some of the footage from last year's iconic event below.

Last year's PMS was a big success, with hoots, hollers, funny costumes, and Maine's own Donny Pelletier, aka Troy Murphy, aka Maine's "finest athlete", taking first in the men's category.

Hopefully he'll be back in the running this year so you can register to take him on yourself! Friggin' right, bub!

In 2023, the Shane McConkey Foundation donated $15,000 to the Scotty Lapp Foundation to help fund the skatepark, more than $50,000 to the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, Protect Our Winters, the Latinx scholarship program at Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, and EcoChallenge.

In other words... this is fun for a good cause!

I'm looking forward to this one. It may actually be the event I'm most excited for as someone obsessed with Sq*allywood lore and (semi) fresh to Tahoe.

See you out there, and you'd better have your snowblades on!
