The idea of a lockbox specifically designed to slide onto the shelf of a refrigerator may seem odd to some, but as any Ross Geller sympathizers know, sometimes it's necessary. (I personally spend a lot of time thinking about the episode where his colleague steals his sandwich.) As someone who takes my meals very seriously, I too would be furious if someone ate a snack as delicious as Monica's Moist Maker. If only Ross had access to the Lockabox One, which is a hot Amazon find right now. Instagram user @dannikafaith posted about the lockable storage box and we're intrigued by it.

Let us just say: This is a must-have for anyone, not just Ross, who wants to enjoy their mid-day soda or late-night snack only to discover that someone else beat them to it. The viral $40 polycarbonate masterpiece will keep your treats out of your roommate or siblings' hands. Made with a food-grade polycarbonate that's compatible with both refrigerators and freezers, this nifty little box features a three-digit lock. "It's like how Target locks up deodorant and T-shirts," one Instagram user commented.

Not only can this box hold more than two gallons of stuff—be it homemade dairy-alternative milk, a cupcake you've been saving for after dinner, or your very own sandwich—but it's also incredibly easy to clean. Just take everything out, fill it with soapy water, and give it a good scrub. It also comes with a raised lip to keep spillage to a minimum. Did we mention that the box is crystal-clear so you can check in on your goodies without having to unlock the entire thing? It's no wonder this box is having a moment on Instagram.

While some commenters have found reasonable and practical ways to use the lockbox—like keeping medications away from kids—the rest of the Internet is fully on-board with using this as a food storage hack. "You need this if you have a roommate or undisciplined kids," one commenter wrote. "Nurses need this at work so people quit stealing their lunches," another commented.

A third mused: "Imagine coming back on your lunch break and the whole container gone code and all." (They make a good point, but taking a whole plastic box seems more cumbersome than what it's worth.) Even if you don't have food-minded kleptomaniacs in the vicinity, you'll still have some fun covertly unlocking the chocolate cupcake or Diet Coke you've been saving all day. This is the kind of playing with your food we can and will condone.
