'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Star Kyle Richards Welcomes Bernese Mountain Dog and Asks for Help Naming Him

It's a boy! A boy dog that is. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has made a new addition to her family — the sweetest Bernese Mountain puppy. The dog lover recently shared her happy news on Instagram and explained that's she's been having a little bit of trouble finding the perfect name for her new pup. So turned to the internet for help.

Anyone who's watched the show has seen Richards' other dogs roaming around the backgrounds of scenes. We just can't wait to see this little guy in the upcoming season.

When it comes to dogs, a new puppt is always a good thing. Which is why the reality star gave a little bit of information on how she came to be the adorable Bernese Mountain dog's new mama.

"Meet the new addition," she wrote in her post. "I was sent a DM by a follower on Instagram who told me they had this puppy but for personal reasons could not keep her and asked if I could help find her a home. So I agreed and knew I could find a home for this beautiful baby."

Richards said that she "purposely" didn't name the dog while she was looking for a new home for the dog, but then...Well, you can guess what happened.

"I have always wanted a Bernese Mountain dog and it felt like she was meant to be ours," she wrote. "We have not been able to agree on a name so would love suggestions!"

People in the comments section had some ideas. "Sarah Jessica Barker!!" wrote celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin. "Anything but Lucy Lucy Apple Juicy," joked TV writer Gary Janetti. "Name idea - Baby Gorgeous," another commenter added, referring to the catchphrase of fellow housewife Lisa Barlow.

How Many Dogs Does Kyle Richards Have?

Speaking of Richards' other dogs, there are actually many other pups living in her home. In 2022, the reality star announced that she'd adopted a puppy named Smokey to her already large brood. She and husband Mauricio Umansky also have a mixed breed dog named Storm, a Golden Retriever named Bambi, a Pomeranian named Romeo, and two German shepherds named Luna and River. Which we guess means that the Richards-Umansky now having a whopping seven dogs total.

While seven might seem like a lot of dogs (like a lot, a lot), we're sure that to a dedicated dog mom like Kyle there really is no limit to how many dogs she can love.
