Rachel Brosnahan

Rachel Brosnahan has returned to the Golden Globes red carpet—and in excellent form.

The actress, who was recently cast as Lois Lane in Superman: Legacy opposite David Corenswet, graced the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards in a custom Sergio Hudson wool crepe corseted column gown with functional hand-covered silk buttons placed strategically throughout.

She accentuated the dazzling look with a slicked-back ponytail, a bold red lip color and matching red heels.

Also in attendance was Brosnahan’s husband, Jason Ralph, who appeared alongside her on the hit Prime Video series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which wrapped up its final season in May of 2023 following a five-season run.

The 33-year-old has a lot to celebrate tonight considering she is nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy, marking her last chance to win for her portrayal of Miriam “Midge” Maisel on the fan-favorite series.

Brosnahan previously took home two consecutive wins in the category in 2018 and 2019.

This year’s competition is stiff with The Bear’s Ayo Edibiri, Only Murders in the Building’s Selena Gomez, The Great’s Elle Fanning, Poker Face’s Natasha Lyonne and Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson all up for the honor.

Maisel—which has garnered a total of eight nominations since its premiere in 2017—is not nominated this year; the period comedy-drama about a 1950s housewife-turned-stand-up-comedian previously nabbed two Best Television Series nominations, with the only win coming in 2018.

The cast included Michael Zegen, Alex Borstein, Tony Shalhoub, Marin Hinkle, Caroline Aaron, and Kevin Pollack.

In addition to landing the iconic role in James Gunn's upcoming DC Universe film that's slated for a 2025 release, Brosnahan is keeping busy with two other projects currently in production—The Amateur and the TV series Lois & Varga.
