Public pools open for Memorial Day weekend in NWA and River Valley

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The weather will be firing up this Memorial Day weekend. Those looking to cool down might be visiting local pools since Beaver Lake still has one out of its 12 beaches closed due to E. Coli.

Below is a list of all the pools in the region that will open on Saturday, May 25.

As you make a splash, it is a good time to take a moment and honor those who lost their lives while defending their country.

What pools, splashpads and aquatic centers open in NWA for Memorial weekend?

Northwest Arkansas includes Rogers, Springdale, Bentonville and Fayetteville pools along with other towns in the area that fall in the majority of these cities.

Rogers Aquatic Center is set to open May 25. The Rogers Aquatic Center’s hours are from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Springdale’s The Jones Center will be closed Monday, May 27. Hours of operation, schedules and prices can be found on the website.

Bentonville Community Center offers different types of programs throughout the year including swim lessons, dive teams and more. People of all ages can have fun. The Bentonville Community Center pool is open from Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. & 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Sunday noon to 5:30 p.m.

Bentonville’s Melvin Ford Aquatic Center will open May 25. Melvin Ford Aquatic Center will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Gravette Pool and Splash Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Arkansas gas cheapest for Memorial day weekend

Springdale Aquatic Center reopens May 25. The Springdale Aquatic Center hours are daily from noon to 5:45 p.m.

Siloam Springs Family Aquatic Center will open May 25. The Family Aquatic Center’s hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 1 to 8 p.m.

Siloam Springs’ WOKA Whitewater Park has been open. Conditions of the water rafting park can be found online.

Fayetteville’s Wilson Park Pool opens for the season May 25 and will have holiday hours on Monday, May 27. The Wilson Park Pool is open Monday through Friday from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.

Prairie Grove Aquatic Park’s opening day for the season is May 25. The public pool is open from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.

What pools, splashpads and aquatic centers open in the River Valley for Memorial weekend?

The River Valley includes 18 cities. The largest cities include Fort Smith, Van Buren and Alma. The region has multiple places where residents can cool down this summer.

Parrot Island opens for the season on May 25. Parrot Island Waterpark is open Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Clarksville Aquatic Center will open May 25. The Aquatic Center is open 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 12 to 5:30 p.m.

Fort Smith Compass Park Splash Pad has 10 dancing fountains and other fun features.
