Pro Surfer Jamie O'Brien Has Popped the Question to Longtime Girlfriend

Pro surfer Jamie O'Brien is officially engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Tina Cohen.

O'Brien hails from Oahu's North Shore, where he's proved himself as one of the best barrel riders at Pipeline thanks to growing up in a house literally right in front of the iconic surf break.

Cohen is also from the North Shore and is a social media influencer and swimwear line co-founder. According to her Instagram page, it looks like Cohen also loves to surf.

O'Brien took to social media early today to make the announcement. He captioned the post above:

"@tina.cohen SAID YES 💍 thanks for everyone that was involved super Psyched @benadamsstudio"

Cohen also posted the announcement on her Instagram page, captioning it:

"He put a ring on it"

O'Brien popped the question not very long after we reported that he took Tina and her mother, a former pro-bodyboarder, to Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch.

In the video of the session which you can watch here, Tina's mom is having a lot of fun shredding the super-exclusive wave

It's the surfer's version of asking a woman's father for her hand in marriage.

Nice work, O'Brien.

If a guy, his wife, and mother-in-law can all hang out and have a good time surfing, that's gotta be a guaranteed happily ever after.
