Princess Charlene of Monaco stepped out in Manolo Blahnik “Maysale” navy blue suede buckle pumps to attend the final match of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters tennis tournament in Monte-Carlo with her family on Sunday. Princess Charlene, who was an Olympic swimmer, is known for her classic, elegant style with a sporty touch. At the disco-themed Rose Ball 2024 To Benefit The Princess Grace Foundation in March, she opted for a trendier, shimmery look in metallic heeled sandals. At the Circus Parade in Monaco in January, she channeled understated winter glamour in chunky heeled tall black suede boots. She channeled the holiday spirit in red suede stiletto boots to celebrate Christmas 2023 at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco.

About Manolo Blahnik

Manolo Blahnik was born in 1942 in the Canary Islands in Spain. Before becoming a shoe designer, he studied architecture in Geneve and worked in the United Nations. He then moved to Paris and London, where he decided to open his first boutique. Magazine editor Diana Vreeland advised him to “make things. Make accessories. Make shoes,” leading him to change his career.

The Manolo Blahnik brand has heavily influenced pop culture. For instance, Princess Diana wore a pair of black Manolo pumps with her classic “revenge dress” in 1993. Manolo Blahnik shoes famously appeared in Sofia Cappola’s “Marie Antoinette” and were essentially a regular cast member in the “Sex and the City” series.
