Pregnant Goat’s Huge Extended Belly Has People Online Shook

It's those last few weeks of pregnancy that really test you. Your lower back is killing you, your feet are swollen, and you feel like you could nap at any time. So imagine the shock that one woman had when she saw the huge baby bump her pet goat had — seriously, it was almost bigger than the animal was.

This must not be an everyday occurrence because the staff member at the Smith Farm Goat Sanctuary in North Carolina was positively stunned.

Seriously, there's almost no words for just how big this goat's bump was. In the footage the goat sanctuary shared, poor Beverly looked like she was "about to pop" about ten times over.

"Bev, when are you giving birth man?" the woman said from behind the camera. "How in the world? Seriously! Look at you!"

Bev looked like she was growing a whole army of baby goats in there — not that we're judging or anything.

"No idea how she even gets up holding in those babies still!" the sanctuary joked in the caption.

It wasn't just the sanctuary that was taken aback by the animal's large stomach. People online were positively shook. "That is the widest load EVER! Bless her heart!!" one commenter exclaimed. "That's TRIPLETS OR QUADS. Bless her heart," someone else praised. "This is the clearest UFO sighting I’ve seen to date!" joked one commenter. "I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I feel for Beverly," one mom-to-be joked.

Pregnancy in Goats

There are many things that can impact goat gestation like breed, litter weight, environment, and parity, but on average these tiny creatures are pregnant for a whopping 145-155 days. That's still shorter than a human gestation, but you wouldn't really know it looking at Beverly.

That's probably because this isn't Beverly's first pregnancy (or kidding, as it's known). A first-kidding might result in one or two offspring. A second could result in three or four. No wonder she's about to pop! It's not clear how many babies she's carrying, but if you ask us there has to be at least three — minimum.

Later on, the sanctuary released a second video of Beverly to show that she still hasn't given birth to her babies. The mama is still walking about like it's no big deal.

Isn't that motherhood for you? You can be caring triplets and work still has to get done! Hopefully this mama will take it easy at one point. We just know her legs have to be killing her. Alas, a mother's work is never done.
