Polish Mustang car club travels through Kansas on Route 66

GALENA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Mustang car club from Poland stopped in southeast Kansas this week.

The Galena Police Department in Cherokee County posted photos of their officers with the group as they passed through the area Wednesday. The department says the men commented on how friendly people they had met along the route had been to them.

According to the Mustang Klub Polska Facebook page, they are traveling the full distance of old Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica, California. The organization is composed of 13 clubs called Stajnie, the Polish word for stables, in regions across Poland.
