Although celebrity chefs show off kitchens every time they air a new episode, it’s rare to get a peek into their kitchen pantries. But the Pioneer Woman (aka Ree Drummond) just revealed her newly refurbished pantry on Instagram, which she says has become her new happy place. And with a kitchen sink, floor-to-ceiling storage, and a library ladder (yes — a library ladder!), this spot would become anyone’s favorite place in the home, too.

“This is my new pantry,” Drummond wrote in the caption of her post. “The cabinets are filled with plates, platters, and bowls of varying patterns, colors, and sizes. The shelves are filled with measuring and mixing vessels, and ingredients I need to cook and bake. The drawers are filled with whatever I feel like slinging in them.”

She continued, “Anytime I’ve had a gathering at our house over the past few months, I’ve somehow wound up huddled in the pantry having a chat, laugh, or cry with someone I love. Recently we had a tornado warning, and I went straight to the pantry. Ladd said, ‘What are you doing?’ I said ‘Hunkering down where I feel happiest.’”

“I love the library ladder!” one person commented on Drummond’s post. Another said, “Thanks for sharing! It’s a pantry of my dreams!”

The shelving and cabinetry is, of course, painted a Pioneer Woman-approved turquoise blue, which pops against the white marble countertops and backsplash. The library ladder can be used on either bank of cabinets, and Drummond even installed library lighting above one bank of cabinets closest to the door — the blend of pantry and library aesthetic choices is really pleasing and actually makes a lot of sense.

If you’ve been toying around with the idea of revamping your kitchen pantry (or even your kitchen in general), then add a library ladder to your wish list because, once again, the Pioneer Woman has struck gold with this one.
