The 'Phenomenal' New Trader Joe’s Dip Shoppers Are Rushing to Buy

Trader Joe's

I love making dip for dinner. I absolutely definitely do. It may take many minutes or up to an hour, but a smile graces my face every time I stand over my stove to sweat out a mound of onion for caramelized onion dip. I can (and I have) crank on my oven on a warm day in pursuit of a fresh bowl of roasted eggplant dip. But even for me—an avid home cook and dip devotee—the time required to make my favorite dips is not something I can always afford (life can get busy!). And that's where the Trader Joe's dip selection comes in.

If our list of must-have items from Trader Joe's taught us anything, it's that the cool, calm, super well-curated California-based grocery chain excels at sauces, spreads and dips galore. Hummus? Joe's got you. Seasoning blends and yogurts to mix together for a quick and vibrant dip? Your dip wish is always Trader Joe's command. And now, the grocer has launched a new spicy, cheesy dip, but it's only here for a limited time.

The new Roasted Hatch Chile & Jalapeño Cheese Dip is a release that fans are saying you must not miss. For only $4.99, it's the perfect dip for dinner that you need to run to grab right now.

Thanks to Reddit user 805dino, who waxed poetic in the coveted Trader Joe's subreddit thread about the new limited-edition heat and serve dip, I now know the perfect way to eat Roasted Hatch Chile & Jalapeño Cheese Dip: "with the ridge cut chips."

A creamy concoction made from a mix of sour cream, cream cheese, cheddar cheese and spiced up with roasted Hatch chiles and jalapeños, other fans reviewed the dip as being wonderfully creamy with the right amount of heat.

All the prep work required to get a huge bowl of this molten cheesy dip is to pop the container in the microwave or the conventional oven. Ridge-cut chips aside, the spicy and cheesy dip can also cling spectacularly onto crunchy, salty vessels like tacos, quesadillas and baguette slices. Me personally? As user Sea-Record1439 recommended, I cannot wait to "pour it over a jar of drained and blended marinated, grilled artichokes." It truly sounds, as they put it, "Jumbo yumbo."
