Pet Pig’s Jealousy Over New Cow Sibling Is Just Like a Little Human

As we know, pigs can be quite vocal and are very social animals. However, sometimes they can also become quite territorial, almost like dogs.

TikToker Mina Alali, who owns a pet pig named Merlin as well as a cow named Moo, knows that all too well and shares in a video posted on November 22 how territorial Merlin can be. Let's see for ourselves!

He's upset!

It's not uncommon for animals, including pigs, to exhibit behaviors that might be interpreted as jealousy when a new companion is introduced, although pigs are quite social animals.

Animals can form strong bonds with their human caregivers or other animals, and the introduction of a new member to the household can sometimes lead to feelings of competition for attention, resources, or affection.

Merlin definitely has a bit of a fit going on.

Pigs, in particular, are known for their intelligence and social nature. They can develop strong attachments to their human caregivers and other animal companions. If a new cow sibling is introduced, the pet pig may feel threatened or less secure in its position within the social hierarchy.

It's obvious that Merlin hasn't accepted Moo yet.

His death stare towards the end, when Moo finally got onto the sofa, said more than 1000 words.

He's like, "How dare you, mom?"

If you've seen Mina's and Merlin's other videos, you'll know that Merlin has a unique personality and oftentimes has a few tantrums.

It's like having a three-year-old toddler around.

And Moo seems so sweet and innocent.

Hopefully, in time, these two will become besties, as they would make such a great team!
