Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby Rumoured For Fantastic Four Movie

The Last of Us and Game of Thrones actor Pedro Pascal has signed to star as Reed Richards - Mr Fantastic - in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

That’s according to /Film that says the deal is done, after months of rumours and fan-theorising. Pascal has been praised for his work on The Last of Us and is all set to star in Season 2 of the post apocalyptic show.

Marvel got the rights for Fantastic Four back from 21st Century Fox in 2019, along with the rights to the X-Men. The Fantastic Four are a superhero family, trapped in space and given superpowers via exposure to cosmic radiation. As well as Reed Richards, the scientist and leader of the group, the FF also includes Sue Storm, the Invisible Girl, her brother Johnny, the Human Torch, and Ben Grimm, aka The Thing.

Rumours are circulating that the role of Sue Storm could go to Mission Impossible and Hobbs and Shaw actor Vanessa Kirby.

There has been three Fantastic Four movies from 21st Century Fox, two of which featured future Captain America star Chris Evan. Mr Fantastic recently popped up in an alternative universe in Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, played by Jim Krasinski, before being promptly killed off.

Marvel hasn’t confirmed any real action on the Fantastic Four movie, apart from pencilling it in for a 2025 release date. That puts it amongst a bunch of other releases, including Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts.
