Maggie Sajak, Pat Sajak

Maggie Sajak celebrated her father Pat Sajak's 77th birthday with the sweetest throwback photo from the set of Wheel of Fortune, taken when she was just a toddler.

The adorable snap showed the father-daughter duo walking across the stage in coordinated ensembles as Pat sported a khaki suit and multi-color neutral tie while Maggie, now 28, rocked a khaki dress with a floral skirt printed in the same color scheme as her father's necktie.

"Happy birthday to my dad!" Maggie exclaimed in the caption of Thursday's Instagram upload. "Thanks for leading me through life🥹🤍."

Fans also saluted the longtime game show host, wishing him nothing but the best in the comments.

"Cuteness overload!" one cheered. "Happy birthday Mr Pat the wheel of fortune king!"

"Happy Birthday Pat!! Hope you have a good one," another exclaimed.

A third added, "Happy Birthday Mr. Sajak a national treasure 🎂🥳🎶💛."

Some hoped Maggie would follow in her father's footsteps and take over as WoF host. "Maggie should be the next host!" one insisted. Similarly, another wrote in part, "STILL THINK THAT U MAGGIE SAJAK SHOULD BE THE NEXT WHEEL OF FORTUNE HOST."

While Maggie doesn't have plans to take over for her dad when he steps down at the end of this season, Ryan Seacrest does. Back in June, it was confirmed that the American Idol host was tapped as Sajak's successor.

At the time, Seacrest shared in a statement, "I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak."

He added, "I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna [White] on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them."

Though fans won't see Pat on-screen next season, he's not ready to stop working yet, and he's already lined up another gig.
