‘Passions’ Cast: Where Are They Now?

The Passions cast hold a unique place in television history since the show comined the drama of a soap opera with the paranormal of science fiction. Created by James E. Reilly, the show aired from July 5, 1999, to September 7, 2007, captivating viewers for nearly a decade with its intriguing storylines and memorable characters. Despite its unconventional premise, the Passions cast garnered a dedicated fanbase and remains a cult favorite among soap opera enthusiasts.

The plot line of the unique soap opera changed regularly, but at the heart was the powerful and wealthy Crane family who ruled the town of Harmony from their mansion on Raven Hill. Lots of drama ensued.

McKenzie Westmore as Sheridan Crane Lopez-Fitzgerald

Born on April 26, 1977, in San Fernando, California, McKenzie Westmore played Sheridan Crane, a member of the wealthy Crane family entangled in a tumultuous love affair with Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald.

Westmore landed her first big role in Passions at age 19, and the pressures of being in the spotlight at a young age led her to develop an eating disorder. She told People that, "I was being told, even at size 4 to size 6, that I was fat. And so I lost a lot of weight. I went through a battle of anorexia.”

She said there was a lot of pressure took a certain way. Westmore said: “If I could go back, I wish that I could tell myself to really have that voice a little bit sooner, to listen to your gut, to listen to the people that were closest to me.”

After Passions ended, Westmore started the cosmetic company Westmore Beauty in 2015. She said she got into the beauty business to help women feel beautiful and confident. She also said a lot has changed since she was on Passions. “I feel like today, soap operas are much more accepting; there's more of an awareness and it's not as much of an issue today as it was back then,” says Westmore. “And even in the industry itself, I feel like there is much more of an awareness [of inclusivity] than there was back then.”

Westmore is still acting. After Passions, she appeared in All My Children, Surviving Suburbia and The Bay.  Most recently she was in the 2023 TV movie Ice Storm.

Lindsay Hartley as Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald Passions Cast

Born on April 17, 1978, in Palm Springs, California, Lindsay Hartley played the character of  Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald, a spirited young woman from the wrong side of the tracks who becomes embroiled in the drama surrounding the Crane family.

As a teen, Hartley competed in several beauty pageants and also performed on Broadway before landing the coveted lead role on Passions. She quickly became a fan favorite.

After the Passions cast, Hartley appeared in Days of Our Lives and All My Children. She also appeared in several TV movies including Evil Doctor, Killer Twin, and Deadly Attraction. Most recently she’s been in General Hospital (2020-2024).

Juliet Mills as Tabitha Lenox

Born on November 21, 1941, in London, England, Juliet Mills played Tabitha Lenox, a centuries-old witch living in the quaint town of Harmony, where she wreaks havoc with her supernatural powers.

Prior to joining the Passions cast, Mills appeared in several TV shows including The Love Boat, Dynasty and Fantasy Island.

After Passions, Mills continued to act. She’s been seen in several series including Grey’s Anatomy, Human Resources and Time After Time.

Galen Gering as Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald Passions Cast

Born on February 13, 1971, in Los Angeles, California, Galen Gering played the role of Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald, a dedicated police officer entangled in a star-crossed romance with Sheridan Crane.

Galen started modeling at the age of 18 and has appeared in over a dozen national commercials.

After Passions, he immediately joined Days of Our Lives and has been on the show from 2008 to 20024. He also has other acting credits, including appearing in Venice of the Series.

Galen has been named one of People magazine's 50 most beautiful people. He married fellow actor Jenna Gering in January of 2000 in Las Vegas, but had a larger wedding with friends and family that year. They have two children.

Galen also has two dogs Wyle and Bandit and works with a charity called New Leash For Life.

Eric Martsolf as Ethan Winthrop

Born on July 27, 1971, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Eric Martsolf played the character Ethan Winthrop, a member of the Crane family caught in a love triangle between Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald and Gwen Hotchkiss. He’s known for doing his own stunts on the show.

Prior to the show he made appearances in the movies The Cheater (2001) and Spanish Fly (2002).

After Passions, Martsolf joined the cast of Days of Our Lives (2008-2024), where he plays Brady Black. He’s also appeared in other shows including the TV series Red Riding Hoods and The Bay.

In his personal life, he married dance choreographer, Lisa Kouchak, on October 10, 2003 and together they have fraternal twin sons, Chase and Mason.

Born on May 6, 1947, in Corvallis, Oregon, Ben Masters plays Julian Crane, the patriarch of the wealthy Crane family, known for his philandering ways and tumultuous relationships.

Masters got his start on Broadway before moving to movies. He appeared in All That Jazz (1979) with Roy Scheider; in Key Exchange (1985) with Danny Aiello; in Dream Lover (1986) with Kristy McNichol; and in Making Mr. Right (1987) with John Malkovich.

He also appeared in several TV shows including Kojak, Touched by an Angel, Barnaby Jones and Diagnosis Murder.

However, he was best known for playing the philandering billionaire Julian Crane during the entire run of Passions. Soap Opera Digest nominated him for its best supporting actor prize in 2001, 2003 and 2005.

Masters passed away in 2023 at the age of  75. He battled dementia his last several years and died of complications from covid.
