Update on Overweight Thailand Street Dog Named ‘Cindy Crawford’ Is Touching Hearts

There's a worldwide problem with stray and abandoned street dogs that seems to be impossible to get under control. Happy Doggo is an organization whose mission is to fix the global street dog problem for good, and they share videos of the dogs they rescue and help rehabilitate to get them ready to find forever homes.

They shared a video on Tuesday, January 30th with an update on a street dog they named Cindy Crawford who was found in Thailand back in October 2023. She was so overweight she couldn't even get up and was on her way towards death. But with some exercise and a healthy diet, they shared an amazing update about how well she's doing now. Make sure your sound is on because it really adds to the excitement!

Isn't her transformation amazing?! Four months ago, Cindy couldn't even stand or walk, and now she's running and looks so happy! She looks like a new and much younger pup! I love how @Happy Doggo says in their caption that Cindy is "...a symbol of hope for so many of us who have struggled with what life throws at us" and that they hope she's inspired us. She definitely has! Commenters were just excited with Cindy's progress as I was. @FiFi shared, "Cindy Crawford is owning that walkway! Well done team and Cindy xx", and I agree with @michelle maher who confessed, "I've been following Cindy and I'm a self-confessed Cindy groupie. That gorgeous face!!!"

Rescuing Stray Dogs - How You Can Help

While not all of us are willing or able to take in stray dogs, I can't speak highly enough about the work, dedication, and love of those that do. These dogs have lived sad lives, and most are in need of medical care for a variety of reasons. Without the selfless people who dedicate that lives, money, and time to these animals, many would die miserable deaths. Being able to share stories with happy endings like Cindy's is what keeps them going.

If you'd like to help these rescued dogs and the people who are passionate about saving them, there are many ways to do it! Adopting a dog or fostering one are always in need. Donations - no matter how large or small - are always needed and appreciated. If you cannot donate money, you can donate time! Research local organizations to see how you can volunteer your time whether it be playing with animals, transporting them to and from vet appointments, feeding them, etc.

And if you aren't in a place to donate time or money, you can give by supporting them online. Promote the animals up for adoption by sharing posts on social media. Promote fundraising efforts for them online. Like and comment on your favorite organizations posts to help them reach a larger audience. While it might not seem like much, it's actually a huge help!
