“We are thrilled to expand our Season 1 cast with some well-known characters from the Outlander universe. We’re so excited to welcome Rory, Sam, Séamus and Conor to the MacKenzie and Fraser clans and to explore the young journeys of these fan-favorite characters,” says Matthew B. Roberts, showrunner and executive producer on Outlander: Blood of My Blood.

These new additions to the cast join the previously announced Jeremy Irvine as Henry Beauchamp, Hermione Corfield as Julia Moriston, Tony Curran as Lord Lovat and, of course, Roy and Slater.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood is based on characters from Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling books and will tell the love story of Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser. It was also announced that in addition, it will explore the relationship of Claire’s (Catríona Balfe) parents, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp, so that the series will be set in two different time periods, with Jamie’s parents in the early 18th century Scottish Highlands and Claire’s parents in WWI England.
