You might be struggling to get your hands on Oppenheimer. That’s because stock for both its 4K and Blu-Ray discs has been running dry at retailers.

Christopher Nolan’s biopic of atomic bomb mastermind J. Robert Oppenheimer released on 4K and Blu-Ray on 22nd November, but demand for physical copies of the film have so far been outweighing supply.

Shoppers at Amazon and Best Buy are being hit with ‘out of stock’ messages, while on eBay, some people are selling their copies of Oppenheimer at vastly marked-up prices.

Physical media being hard to find is a surprising turn of events in this increasingly digital age, but it speaks to the quality of the film that its so sought-after. Since releasing in theaters July 2023, Oppenheimer has generated an eye-watering $952 million globally.

A spokesperson from Universal said in a statement: "Universal is working to replenish those retailers quickly so fans can watch the film at home in the best picture quality possible."

Until retailers get their act together, there’s always the digital version. Watch it before Earth definitely ends in nuclear armageddon, as confirmed by the Oppenheimer director himself.
