Ocean View’s Salty Dog Walk returns this weekend
The beaches of Ocean View offer a perfect backdrop for the Norfolk SPCA’s annual Salty Dog Walk coming Sunday.
The family-focused event attracts nearly 300 residents every year, along with their four-legged friends, for a mile-long walk along Ocean View’s sandy shores. There’s still time to sign up at norfolkspca.org.
This year’s event includes yoga on the beach at 10 a.m. with the walk beginning at 11:30 a.m. There will be an after party from 1-3 p.m. at the Bold Mariner.
Celebrate working dogs with demonstrations and introductions from Norfolk Police Department, Norfolk Sheriff’s Office, military working dogs, U.S. Fish & Wildlife K-9 Unit and the Old Dominion University K-9 Unit.
Children’s activities include face painting and temporary tattoos.
