Nike is gearing up for a stacked day of Kobe releases in April, as three models from the Nike Kobe line will see colorways return for the first time ever.

Among the trio is the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Italian Camo,” which originally released (sans Protro) in 2011. The namesake design element takes over the entirety of the shoe’s scaled upper and serves as a reference to Kobe Bryant’s relationship with the country. Bryant spent seven years living in Italy as a child while his father played basketball professionally for several Italian teams. It was there that his game developed before moving back to Philadelphia and playing high school basketball, and he continued to speak fluent Italian for the rest of his life.

The colors from the camoflouge pattern are then used throughout the rest of the sneaker, as the outsole is split between khaki and olive green, the heel cage takes on a translucent olive and the midsole and remaining portions of the upper appears in black. A bright red is then used for the printed Swoosh, Kobe branding on the tongue and heel and tongue lining.

In addition to this reissue, the Kobe 4 Protro “Philly” and Kobe 8 Protro “Venice Beach” will also release again for the first time since their respective debuts. A brand-new Kobe 4 Protro “Girl Dad” is then expected to drop in May.

The Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Italian Camo” will release April 13 through the Snkrs app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $190.
