Last summer, Travis Scott and John McEnroe grabbed headlines with the announcement of a sneaker collaboration. With the help of Nike, the chart-topping rapper was going to put his spin on the tennis legend's retro sneakers.

The marketing of the Travis Scott x Nike Mac Attack SP ‘Cactus Mac’ took a weird turn in December when a "leaked video" that felt scripted showed Scott and McEnroe arguing over the name.

That sneaker would eventually be released and hover just over the retail price on most sneaker websites. However, the OG model is still available at its retail price online. Below is a detailed look at the Nike Attack 'Light Smoke Grey' colorway.

The Nike Attack 'Light Smoke Grey' was released in June 2023 for $120. Athletes and fans can still purchase the sneakers on the Nike SNKRS website and app.

According to the product description, "With bold color blocking, a checkered tongue label, and iconic '80s style, the Nike Attack is ready for you to break the mold."

The OG-inspired colorway features a Light Smoke Grey upper contrasted by black Swoosh logos. The classic blue and black checkerboard with a red "Nike" logo appears on the tongue tag. Lastly, the shoe sits on a white midsole and rubber grey outsole.

The collaboration between Travis Scott, John McEnroe, and Nike might have been a flop, but we are fine with that as it means a more affordable sneaker for consumers. Even better, the OG sneaker is sitting right there for us to grab before we hit the tennis courts this summer. Stay locked into Men's Journal Sneakers for all your footwear news and shopping deals.
