Nicole Kidman, 56, Strips Down in Black Lingerie and Heels
No stranger to pushing the boundaries of fashion, Nicole Kidman is once again baring major skin to prove that, even at 56, she looks as amazing as she ever did. This time, the Expats star is featured on the cover of Elle for the magazine's latest issue, appearing in a number of racy photos wearing sultry black lingerie, stiletto heels, thigh-high black stockings, and a variety of bras and corsets.
"Loved gracing your cover, Elle!," Kidman posted on Instagram along with a gallery of the steamy photos, thanking editor-in-chief Nina Garcia for the honor, as well as the writer of the profile for "her beautiful words."
However, while Kidman may regularly appear in couture on red carpets and in the pages of magazines—not to mention that she was recently named a brand ambassador for Balenciaga—in the accompanying piece, she explained why she sometimes finds that lifestyle to be "overwhelming."
"It feels a little unreal at times. I want to get out, take my dress off, and put my jammies on," Kidman admitted. "It’s kind of like the opposite of Cinderella—I’m happy to go home and just go back to me."
"It does feel a little overwhelming," she continued. "I’m like, ‘I need to go home now. I’m very tired. I want to get warm, and I want to curl up, and I want to feel real.'"

Kidman went on to detail how fashion is just one aspect of her personality. She's been married to country singer Keith Urban for nearly 18 years, and the couple share two now-teen daughters; Sunday Rose born in 2008, and Faith Margaret, born in 2010.
“I have a very full life with people that I love. I’m raising daughters. I’m a wife, I’m a best friend. I’m a sister, I’m an aunt. I have deeply intimate relationships with people," she added. "And that, to me, is the meaning of life—and then taking care of what we leave behind, who we leave behind and how we do that, and our sense of respect for that."
