Model and entrepreneur Lori Harvey is set to make her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut. Harvey will be featured in SI Swim’s 60th-anniversary issue in May, including shots modeling suits from her Yevrah Swim brand, which she founded last August.

The 27-year-old stepdaughter of comedian Steve Harvey has previously modeled for brands such as Valentino, Burberry, and Chanel. She traveled to Mexico for her SI Swim shoot, which she called “a dream come true.” Harvey had wanted to model for SI Swim for years, even including the task on a vision board of hopeful accomplishments.

“I just immediately got so excited and was smiling from ear to ear,” Harvey said of arriving at the shoot. “It was definitely a dream come true. I would say the three words that I would use to describe it would be: manifested, surreal, and perfection. It was literally a moment that I manifested. It was a very surreal moment for me, and the entire shoot was just perfection from top to bottom.”

Yu Tsai photographed the shoot, marking an unexpected reunion between himself and Harvey. “It was such a full-circle moment,” Harvey enthused. “The first time I shot with Yu Tsai, I was super young, had braces…and I was shooting with my family, so being able to connect with him again for something as major as this was really, really special.”

Harvey launched a five-step everyday skincare brand, SKN by LH, in 2021 before launching Yevrah Swim last August. Harvey had long wanted to start her own swimwear line because of her passion for travel, fashion, and the water. When given the opportunity, she threw herself into it wholeheartedly.

“I created this brand from the ground up by myself, I designed everything myself, I picked the fabric, I picked the colorway,” Harvey reported. “I’m all about body positivity and inclusion, and I really wanted that to translate when I was creating the brand.”
