This New Line Of Frozen Food Is For Ozempic UsersNestlé

For many people on Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs (medications that treat Type 2 diabetes and obesity), one of the biggest struggles is deciding what they can and cannot eat. Well, that decision is about to get a whole lot easier thanks to one of the country's biggest food companies.

Nestlé has announced that it is releasing a new line of frozen foods made specifically for people taking Ozempic and other weight loss drugs. The collection of frozen foods is called Vital Pursuit and will be comprised of a dozen portion-controlled meals.

"The products are high in protein, a good source of fiber, contain essential nutrients, and they are portion-aligned to a weight loss medication user's appetite," read a release announcing the new line.

Nestlé also makes prominent frozen food brands like Stouffer’s and DiGiorno, and so customers can expect a pretty solid lineup of meals with Vital Pursuit. Among the dishes being teased so far are bowls with whole grains or protein pasta, sandwiches, and pizzas.

Although Vital Pursuit was just announced, it may have already gained quite the critic. Celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern revealed to TMZ that "linking a drug like Ozempic with a food line is about as messed up as it gets."

Vital Pursuit is also facing some mixed feedback online. One user on X said it was yet another way of serving consumers "more corporate pseudo-food junk."

"Such a typical corporate/American response to the problem of over-eating. Instead of simply eating less (and saving money), let's take drugs for a purpose they're not actually designed for so we can eat more corporate pseudo-food junk," they wrote.
