National Peanut Festival announces 2024 theme, dates

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — This year’s theme for the National Peanut Festival has been announced, along with the dates for the season’s biggest attractions leading up to the main event.

National Peanut Festival President Philip Tidwell said the 2024 theme is “A Family Tradition for 80 Years!”

“The National Peanut Festival has always been about bringing families together and celebrating our community’s agricultural heritage,” said Tidwell. “This year, as we commemorate 80 years, we are especially proud to honor the families who have made this festival a cherished tradition. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating and creating new memories.”

The 80th National Peanut Festival will run from November 1 to 10. Tickets will be available beginning September 1.

The grand NPF parade will take place on October 26. The parade time and route will be announced at a later date.

The Little Miss Pageant will be on October 12, and you can see the crowning of the new Miss National Peanut Festival on October 18-19.
