National doughnut chain expands into Illinois with Champaign location

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — A doughnut shop with almost 70 locations across the country is set to expand into Illinois with the opening of its Champaign store.

Parlor Doughnuts is opening a location at 1757 West Kirby Avenue. No exact opening date has been announced yet.

According to the company’s website, Parlor Doughnuts has its roots in a coffee shop that was opened in 2015 and expanded into the doughnut industry in 2019. Starting in Evansville, Ind., the business has expanded to states as far away as California and Florida.

The menu has 28 doughnut options ranging from simple flavors like vanilla and chocolate to flavors like French toast, cookies n’ cream, churro and turtle cheesecake. There’s also coffee options and breakfast sandwiches.
