Dion Lee goes into voluntary administration
Dion Lee voluntarily appointed Australian insolvency firm DVT Group administrator Antony Resnick to take control of its operations. The decision came after Australian retailer Cue — which acquired a large share of the brand in 2013 — withdrew its partnership. The move ostensibly allows Dion Lee to remain running instead of ceasing operations and Resnick will reportedly "urgently assess all options" relating to the brand's significant U.S. business. {Vogue Business}

Why simple summer dresses have egregiously different price tags
The Cut's Chantal Fernandez investigated the financial differences between simple summer dresses. She took six different dresses — from Shein, Fashion Nova, House of CB, Staud, Ronny Kobo and Tove — ranging in price from $14 to $754 to be analyzed by a garment developer, who broke down the glaring differences in quality and construction. Fernandez concluded that even the highest quality (and most expensive) dress could have been priced lower based on those factors, but sometimes the cost is "about chasing a fantasy" or "finding something that will work for more than one of the four weddings you have coming up." {The Cut}
