Muhammad Ali’s Los Angeles mansion up for auction

A Los Angeles mansion that once belonged to Muhammad Ali is up for auction.

Located in a gated enclave called Fremont Place in L.A.’s Hancock Park neighborhood, the estate was built in 1915 by John C. Austin – who also designed and supervised the construction of Los Angeles City Hall and the Griffith Observatory, among others – and was owned by Ali between 1979 and 1984.

The home, which measures over 10,500 square feet and sits on a one-and-a-half-acre corner lot with privacy hedges, has hosted Sylvester Stallone, Clint Eastwood and even former President Barack Obama, auction house Concierge Auctions said in its listing.

Among the mansion’s architectural features are a wide stone exterior entry staircase, stained glass windows, imported Italian marble, hardwood and terracotta floors, a semi-circular solarium, original French crystal chandeliers, a pergola walkway and more.
