ALLIANCE — An emergency room doctor with a passion for writing plans a talk and poetry reading April 10 at University of Mount Union.

Jonathan Graham, a Mount Union alumnus who served as an ER doctor at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, will appear at 12:30 p.m. in the Alumni Room on campus.

Graham will be reading from his 2023 collection of poetry, “Everything Waits,” which chronicles his experiences, and his recently released memoir, “The Sky Was Always Underground.”

After graduating from Mount Union, Graham was drafted into the military during the Vietnam War and served as a medic. He went on to graduate school, studying medicine and creative writing at the University of South Carolina.

The Alumni Room is in Mount Union’s Hoover-Price Campus Center. The reading is free and open to the public.
