When a mother and daughter got to their California home on Sunday and realized someone had broken in, they chased after and wrestled the suspect, Fox News reports. The man ultimately got away from the women, but police picked him up a few hours later.

“My daughter jumped out of her truck and we both tackled him and rolled him,” Julie Rux told local broadcast station KTXL.

Rux told KTXL that chasing after the suspected thief “was probably not the smartest thing to do,” but she wasn’t scared thanks to her profession as a horse trainer.

“When you take on large animals every day, a little guy is not as large as what you deal with on a daily basis,” she said.

Richard Holesapple was arrested for allegedly breaking into Rux’s home and had his bail set at $615,000, according to Fox News. The police said he was armed with a gun from Rux’s house, but he reportedly left behind a backpack with his ID inside.
