'Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet Name-Drops Travis Kelce During SAG Awards

Eric Stonestreet won over Swifties with statements he shared at the 2024 SAG Awards.

While on stage presenting Hulu's The Bear with the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series alongside the rest of the Modern Family cast—including Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ed O'Neill—Stonestreet reminisced on old times when he and the rest of the ABC sitcom ensemble were the stars nominated for prestigious awards.

The memories must've had the actor feeling a certain way, as he seemingly felt the need to prove that his life is still just as fabulous as it was when he was the one taking home the awards.

"I know Travis Kelce!" the 52-year-old blurted out. "I could FaceTime him right now—I'm being serious."

"So things are really great for me. No, I'm serious," he added. "Things are really great for me."

The internet basically erupted with a wave of reactions immediately after Stonestreet wrapped up.

"Travis kelce mention at sag awards i could not have guessed that at all," one X (formerly Twitter) user quipped.

"@ericstonestreet at the #SAGAwards 'I know Travis Kelce!' #ChiefsKingdom," a second cheered.

"Eric stonestreet a real one for mentioning trav," another wrote. "go chiefs!"

While The Secret Life of Pets star claimed he could call the Super Bowl-winning tight end, the likelihood that he would've picked up is slim, as Kelce is currently making his way home from Australia after supporting his girlfriend, international pop superstar Taylor Swift, during the Sydney leg of her Eras Tour.
