Ski race power couple Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde have announced they’re engaged to be married via a post to Instagram yesterday.

The post had no words (were words needed?), just emojis, indicating a ring, hearts, and smiley faces, along with a picture of the now-engaged couple. See below.

Mikaela and Aleks are probably one of the best-matched couples ever, in the sports world or in general. Both are ski racers: Shiffrin is a two-time Olympic champion with a record-breaking 97 World Cup race wins, and Kilde is a former overall World Cup champion and two-time Olympic medalist.

This season, their love endured injuries, as Kilde's season ended in January when he crashed during a downhill race in Wengen, Switzerland and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

Shiffrin wasn't immune to setbacks this season either, although she miraculously bounced back after six weeks after a knee injury she received in a downhill crash in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy in January.

Both racers recovered together (Mikaela was able to race again this season), once again making everyone jealous online with their cute recovery pictures helping each other through the difficult times.

People were also rightfully excited about the prospect of the two having kids, because as one commenter wrote, "their kids are going to be skiing freaking machines." No pressure, but if they do choose to have a family, we really hope they race for the U.S.

The two had been dating for several years prior to this engagement, and now, it looks like they will be together for many, many more.
