Midtown Sacramento adorned with banners for Pride Month

(FOX40.COM) — Midtown Sacramento is getting ready for Pride Month in June with the installation of over 30 banners on Wednesday.

The Midtown Association said 37 colorful banners will start at J and 20th Streets before moving east on J Street toward 27th Street. Each of the banners says “Midtown Pride.”

The area tends to get busy with traffic, as an estimated 17,000 drivers use the J Street Corridor, according to the Midtown Association.

Sacramento Pride 2024 dates announced

The 37 banners are meant to spread awareness of Pride Month in Sacramento, which will include activations including a gender inclusion training workshop on May 30.

The Pride Month banners are in addition to 10 banners that say “Midtown Love: No Exceptions, No Exclusions” that are permanently placed on 20th street between J and K streets including in front of the Sacramento LGBT Community Center.
