In the video below, apparently shot by a cousin of the bride or groom, Obama presides over the ceremony. It’s captioned “HOLY MOLY” with a heart emoji.

While the noise of the wind makes the details hard to hear, Obama can be heard reciting vows for the couple to repeat, including promising to “stand next to you and support you.”

The bride’s father, Robert Rivkin, is the deputy mayor of the Windy City, which explains why the happy couple may have had an inside track to get the former first lady as their officiant. The Obamas’ history with Chicago is well-known, and Michelle is a native of the city.

The wedding photographer shared a stunning shot of the newly married couple on her Instagram page, but photos of FLOTUS at the event seem to be pretty scarce.

Meanwhile, Obama is about to set off on a huge stadium tour launching her memoir, Becoming. And while it wasn’t a big surprise how quickly fans snapped up tickets, the price tag did come as a shock to some. Obama will appear in 12 cities across the United States — with two extra stops added to the original 10-city tour to meet the demand — and prices for the event range from a reasonably affordable $29.50 to as much as $3,000.
