Michael Strahan's Daughter Isabella Undergoes Another Emergency Surgery

Isabella Strahan has hit a bit of a road bump in her ongoing cancer journey.

The 19-year-old daughter of Good Morning America host Michael Strahan has been battling brain cancer since last fall, when she was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in October. She underwent emergency surgery at the time and recently started receiving chemotherapy treatment as the next step in the process.

But in her latest vlog update shared to YouTube on Tuesday, March 5, Isabella shared that she had been getting "a lot of fevers," causing her to end up back in the hospital.

While hospitalized, Isabella underwent her first blood transfusion, had an MRI, and got her chemo port cleaned before she was finally able to go home—but she ended up having to come back sooner than she expected.

Just hours later, Isabella was back in the hospital, as she joked, "I catfished everyone."

"We left the hospital after three or four days and now we're back less than 12 hours later because I have a fever again," she explained. "I got a fever of 102 and had to come back in. So we’re trying to figure out what’s wrong but no one can find out what’s wrong."

"This is the worst fever I think I’ve had," Isabella continued in the video. "I don’t feel as horrible as I did the first time. I just have a really bad headache so I thought nothing of it and now we’re in the ER."

Noting that she has "felt worse" before, Isabella said she definitely didn't "feel good," and that she felt like she "can barely walk now" despite walking laps around the hospital just days earlier. "It's really declined."

Toward the end of the video, Isabella revealed that she was getting a "last-minute" surgery to drain fluid from the back of her head. "I'll be under anesthesia but it's still very, very, not what I planned to do because I didn’t plan on coming back to the hospital."

Luckily, Isabella appeared to be in good company for the emergency surgery, as she shared a video with her dad, mom Jean Muggli and her dad's girlfriend Kayla Quick, who were all in the hospital room with her while she was getting ready for the procedure.

"Bye guys—wish me luck!" she concluded, before the clip showed her being wheeled into surgery with both her parents by her side.

The YouTube video ended with a "To Be Continued..." message at the end, so her followers are still waiting to hear how the surgery went.
