Meteorologist Predicting "4-8 Inches" Of New Snow For New York, Vermont

Meteorologist Tyler Jankoski at NBC5 recently announced that a variety of factors will keep Vermont's snow showers going through midweek--and Vermont has already seen significant amounts in the past few days.

The snowstorms should be most intense Wednesday, Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

If you add up the next few days worth of snowfall, Jankowski estimates that 4-8" or even more should fall along the Green Mountain spine and in the Adirondacks, with a foot possible at Jay.

It's easy to forget people's reactions to snow this time of year change drastically depending on whether or not they ski.

One person commented below Jankoski's post, "Can March just not be so....March?!"

Another wrote, "it's spring. Make it go away."

But for East Coast skiers, this forecast comes as a welcome surprise. With some resorts relying on snowmaking to extend their seasons, now, resorts such as Jay Peak will see Mother Nature do her thing for a possible foot more of snow in March.

Jay Peak has already seen significant snow totals from the latest storm. Their snow report started the day writing that the resort saw another 4-7" overnight and well through this morning, bringing Jay Peak to 19" since Sunday.

Whether you are on the side of wishing the snow would let up to enjoy the warmer months, or you never want winter to end, we can all appreciate an extension of this year's ski season. Right?
