Meet This Spring's 23 Deliciously On-Trend Fragrances

The approaching warmer months beckon new scent discoveries, from perfumes packed with fresh fruity notes — Cherry! Pear! Grapefruit! — to breezy fragrances that pair well with the extra hours of sunlight. Or perhaps it's time to revisit the classics, via updated interpretations of the season's beloved florals and decadent gourmands.

"In 2024, especially once the temperature outside stays warm, I think either bright solars or fresh aquatic scents will take the top spot," Moodeaux Founder and CEO Brianna Arps tells Fashionista, going on to describe these eaus du jour as "lighter, breezier fragrances that mimic the essence of being OOO on vacay somewhere near water."

Finding your signature spring scent, of course, ultimately comes down to personal olfactory preference, but there's no need to bench your springtime scent once fall comes to town. Bee Shapiro, founder and CEO of Ellis Brooklyn, recommends experimenting and layering fragrances for a personalized, season-spanning touch. "Spring in New York is not a very long season before it quickly becomes summer, so I often will choose something that will do wonderful on its own in spring, but that I might layer or change up in summer or fall," she notes.

From bright florals that mirror the blossoming season to fruit-centric notes making our scent wardrobes more vibrant, we've rounded up 23 scents that are sure to add a touch of spring to any fragrance collection.

Floral

It's no surprise that florals are the scent of the season, but don't fret: These flower-power fragrances are a breath of fresh air compared to their earlier, powdery counterparts. For a modern take on floral, try Kindred Black's Fleurs Sauvages, a limited-edition wildflower perfume oil that blossoms when applied to pulse points, or Marc Jacobs' Daisy Wild, an outdoorsy scent with notes of jasmine, vetiver and banana blossom.

"Blooming floral and herbaceous green notes like rose, jasmine, vetiver and tea are the unofficial mascots of springtime fragrances," Arps says. "They really help to evoke the dewy freshness and vibrancy of the season."

Fresh + Airy

For those manifesting sunshine and a soft breeze this spring, these fresh scents capture that carefree, calming feeling. Ayond Taos Blue is an airy blend of blue lilac, freesia, pink pepper and ylang ylang heart notes, with a cedarwood and vetiver base; Roan Fragrances' Current Culture taps into an oceanic swirl of bergamot zest, matcha and salty moss emulating a coastal experience.

Moodeaux's latest launch Brand New also embraces a sense of freshness with notes of sparkling yuzu, cardamom, pink pepper, coconut, neroli petals, muguet and salty musk. "This modern unisex perfume was brought to life with one main intention, which is to help make every day smell and feel like a bright fresh start," says Arps.

Juicy + Fruity

Shapiro and Arps agree: Fruity fragrances are having a moment right now. From L'Objet Kérylos' citrusy flair grounded in white musk to Nette Pear Jam's uplifting koji pear and raspberry pulp notes, fruit-forward scents are filling the season with a refreshing burst of flavor. Care to take a bite?
