McDonald Co. HS students prepare thousands of meals for those in need
MCDONALD COUNTY, Mo. — McDonald County High School students spend their day prepping thousands of meals for those in need. More than 200 students in the F.F.A. and “Jobs for America’s Graduates,” or JAG, programs help package the meals. Ingredients were measured out and packed by the students. Those meals will then be distributed to several locations, including area food banks. For the students, it’s meant to be a way to show them they can make an impact in their community by just giving their time.

“One of the things that I enjoy about this program is that it doesn’t require any extra money or anything from them, it’s just showing them that even just 45 or 50 minutes of their time is enough to make an impact on their community,” said Emily Hutton, Agriculture Teacher, McDonald County High School.
“I really enjoy doing this, and it means a lot because we have just a bunch of kids doing this, and this year we have JAG helping, which is really great and I just love doing this,” said Roslynn Huston, Junior, McDonald County High School.
