Matthew Perry's 'Friends' Co-Star Maggie Wheeler Pens Tribute

Maggie Wheeler, who brought the iconic character Janice Hosenstein to life in Friends, shared a touching response to the death of her co-star, Matthew Perry, at the age of 54.

After Perry passed away on Oct. 28, Wheeler took to Instagram to respond to the sad news. She shared a photo from Friends of her character Janice with Perry's Chandler Bing, with a sweet message.

"What a loss. The world will miss you Mathew Perry," she wrote. "The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared. ♥️."

Fans shared support and sympathy with Wheeler, with comments like, "I'm so sorry for your loss. We loved him so much 😭," and "You two together were magic, so sorry for your loss. I always rooted for him and I am heartbroken 💔 for me, for his family, his friends, for the world. 😢."

Wheeler's character Janice was a love interest for Perry's Chandler throughout Friends' run from 1994 to 2004. At the start of the show, Chandler is dating Janice, but he wants to break up with her and is struggling to do so. The two date on and off throughout the sitcom, while Janice also has a short-term romance with David Schwimmer's Ross Geller.

The actress often posts about Friends on her social media, with Wheeler even using a photo of Janice and Chandler to celebrate Valentine's Day this year.

Along with Friends, Wheeler is known for her acting in Everybody Loves Raymond, The Parent Trap and Ellen, as well as voice work in projects like The Addams Family and Archer.
