The Marvels Drops New Deleted Scene

Marvel won’t tell you how much The Marvels is making, but it will let you take a glimpse at a deleted scene.

In the clip, called Captain-in-Residence, Ms Marvel AKA Kamala Khan meets none other than reigning New Asgard sovereign Valkyrie.

The pair share a video call while Kamala is on board Carol's ship. It takes a while to sink in, however. She picks up Carol’s red helmet and remarks, “I’m on Captain Marvel’s ship.”

Soon, she gets an incoming call from Valkyrie. “Where’s Captain Marvel?” she asks. “Has she got married again? And no invite again?”

Suddenly, Kamala disappears and Captain Marvel takes her place, as happens throughout the movie when she uses her powers.

The scene doesn’t move the story forward much so you can see why it was cut, but it’s always fun to see two heroes interacting.

Marvel released the clip to celebrate The Marvels’ digital release date of January 16, and 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD release date on February 13. The discs come with exclusive bonus content like the linked clip, including deleted scenes, a gag reel, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and audio commentary from co-writer/director Nia DaCosta and VFX Supervisor Tara DeMarco.
