Mama Labrador Caught Hiding From Her Puppies to Get a Break Is Too Relatable
Parents--this one is for you! Raising a family may be a rewarding job, but heaven knows that everyone needs a break every now and then. Between keeping everyone fed and helping kids learn, it can be next to impossible to get a break.
Maple the Chocolate Labrador certainly understands! This new mama dog welcomed 5 healthy puppies on October 4, and she's had her paws full ever since. Now, about a week later, her owner found her hiding in the bathroom to get a break from the babies. Honestly, we get it! Luckily, Maple's owner from Ontario's @northlegacylabs understood, too.

Aww, poor Maple! She found herself one of the coziest spots to hide from her needy Retriever pups, though we'll admit--we thought she'd gotten stuck beneath a fallen shower curtain at first! After watching a second time we can confirm that she's using a shower curtain as a tent, but she's definitely comfy under there. Just look how relaxed she is!
"Maple is every single mom in the world," commented @babinkel. "How sweet!" Isn't she? Not only is this sleepy dog pawsitively precious and very clever for finding this hiding spot, but she's also relatable AF to other parents. If Maple can take breaks and still be an awesome mom to her Labrador Retriever puppies, any parent can excel with breaks!
In fact, breaks are essential for a person's mental and physical well-being, whether they're working on a computer or watching a child. A tired parent can have slower reaction times, poorer focus, and even poor judgment. Take a hint from this smart mama dog and remember to take care of yourself!
